Anahi, a Mexican singer, actress, model, entrepreneur, designer and philanthropist, chose November 24th to be the official release date for her latest album.
“Mi Delirio”, her first solo CD in eight years, will be released in over 25 countries. Anahi was formerly a member of RBD, a band that skyrocketed into fame and made her an international icon. RBD sold 20 million records world-wide during their five year long music career.
Anahi, at the age of 26, has been in the entertainment industry for over 20 years. She started as an actress and has appeared in countless television and movie roles. She has also been the spokesperson for various companies and even has her own boutiques in México. But her main passion in life is music.
Mi Delirio is a pop album packed with everything from techno dance tracks to legit pop-power ballads. The 11 track album was co-produced by alternative rock band Kinky and features lyrics co-written by Anahi herself.
Every song on this album is a definite stand-out track with lyrics that actually tell a story, take you on a roller coaster of emotions and actually make you want to continue to listen.
“Mi Delirio,” for example, is the title track. It's a sexy techno inspired dance beat that lets us into Anahi’s Delirium, while “Quiero” is bubbly pop song about two people in love.
Every girl waits for her prince charming, and on “Hasta Que Llegaste Tu,” Anahi sings about holding on to her love until her own prince charming comes and sweeps her off her feet.

For a pop dance track, “Para Que,” is powerful. The lyrics about a past boyfriend who leaves her heartbroken and then tries to come back are accompanied with an infectious beat.
“Te Puedo Esuchar” is truly one of the most moving and powerful songs ever recorded in pop music. Co-written by Anahi, it’s a song she dedicates to a friend she considered her brother, who passed away recently.
The final track, “Hasta Que Me Conociste,” pushes the boundaries of pop music and delivers a dance track about a girl who isn’t going to settle for anything less than what she wants.
“Mi Delirio” breaks the mold for latin pop albums and takes pop music as a whole to a new level. All in all, I give this album five out of five stars.
